The Parish Council raised concerns at the proposed daytime closure of Old Church Lane for Voneus Broadband to carry out works.
Questions were asked about access to Old Church Farm, Brampton Cemetery, Irthing Vale Caravan Park, William Howard School and residential properties.
The closure has been reassessed, a site meeting has taken place with Cumberland Highways and agreement reached that the closure will take place through the night from the 18th – 29th September between the hours of 7pm to 6am.
The contractor will provide a letter drop to all properties, install advanced warning signs and will also speak to the farmer regarding milk tanker times.
